What a boring kit this was.
It is what I call a lurker, having hung around unmade for I don't know how long.
It is one of the first that Horizon produced, coming as part of the Universal monsters series
that also included, The Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, Phantom of the Opera and one of the
Mole People. Based upon this piece it is a wonder that figure kits ever took off as a serious
hobby.
The pose is painfully static, detail minimal while what detail there is is soft. However,
Horizon did produce this kit with two heads. One completely bandaged, and the one shown here
where he is removing the bandages.
Two points to note: this kit is stamped as copyright 1961, yet it is based on the Claude Rains
movie which was made in the 30's. The other point is that the second head has hair showing
through the bandages, if he's invisible how come his hair is visible?
